Intervy uses credits for AI features and subscription plans for team features. Credits power Ivy, CV summaries, AI field generation, and interview summaries. Plans determine your feature access and team limits. Open Billing to check your balance, buy credits, or manage a subscription.
How AI features use credits
Before an AI request, Intervy sets aside up to 5 credits from your balance, or 1 for a single question field. Completed generation is charged for actual usage: unused credits return to your balance, and any extra charge stops at zero. Failed generation refunds the reservation. For CV uploads, this also covers a summary that Intervy cannot read as a profile: no new profile is saved and no credits are charged. Credits from an allowance that expired during the request keep their original expiry and are not restored as purchased credits. Other completed AI results can still incur a charge even if you cannot use them. Each question classification that runs is charged, including repeats. Eligible requests using your own provider key bypass Intervy credits.
An Ivy message with a document uses one reservation for reading the document and answering you. If the answer fails after document processing completed, the document processing can still be charged.
Free credits on signup
When signup creates your personal organization, it can receive 300 welcome credits, claimed once per email address. Joining an organization through an invitation does not create that personal organization. Additional organizations you create do not automatically receive another signup grant. Welcome credits do not expire.
Subscription credit allowance
Starter and Growth include a shared credit allowance based on hiring seats. Members use the organization's pool subject to access to the AI feature they are using. Subscription credits are spent before welcome or purchased credits.
| Plan | Allowance per hiring seat |
|---|---|
| Free | — |
| Starter | 1,000 credits |
| Growth | 2,500 credits |
| Scale | No automatic allowance |
For example, a Growth allowance for 4 hiring seats deposits 10,000 shared credits (4 × 2,500). It is not assigned to individual people.
Monthly subscriptions follow their billing period, rather than the calendar month. Current yearly-subscription limitation: the allowance follows the yearly billing period and is not refreshed every month or multiplied by twelve. Check the expiry shown in Billing before relying on an allowance. Unused subscription credits are removed when the next allowance period is processed; welcome and purchased credits remain.
When a new hiring member joins after an allowance has been deposited, their additional grant is prorated to the remaining billing period. The next full allowance follows the next billing period. On a paid plan, a low total balance can show a Buy more credits shortcut in Billing.
Credit packs
Open Billing, then Buy credits. Purchasing requires billing:manage.
| Pack | Base credits | Bonus | Total | Price before tax |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 5,000 | — | 5,000 | €5.00 |
| Standard | 10,000 | 1,000 | 11,000 | €10.00 |
| Bulk | 25,000 | 5,000 | 30,000 | €25.00 |
- Pick a pack and continue to Stripe Checkout.
- Enter payment details and review the EUR total, including any tax.
- After returning to Intervy, wait for payment confirmation. The base and bonus credits are added together after payment processing completes. If confirmation takes longer, the page can show a processing message.
Check your credit balance
If you can open Settings → Billing and have credits:view, the Credit balance card separates From your subscription (this month), Welcome & purchased credits (never expire), and Total. Opening Billing requires billing:manage or org:manage. An allowance expiry appears when there are remaining subscription credits and a known expiry. Despite the row's “this month” label, use that expiry for yearly subscriptions. Ivy also shows a known credit balance when your organization is using Intervy credits, rather than its own key.
The three predefined roles include credits:view, which permits viewing the detailed credit balance, AI usage and credit packs. Access to an AI feature and permission to manage billing are separate.
Low credit email alerts
Intervy can email your billing administrators when the organization's credit balance runs low. In Settings → Billing, the Low credit email alerts card controls this. Only members with org:manage see the card and can change it.
Alerts are on by default, with a threshold of 10 credits. Use the Send low credit email alerts switch and the Alert threshold (credits) field, then select Save. The threshold must be a whole number of credits, 0 or more; for any other value, Save stays unavailable.
When an AI feature's final charge, or a manual balance correction by Intervy, takes the balance from above the threshold to the threshold or below, Intervy sends one email to each member whose role has billing:manage. With the predefined roles, that means Org Admins. The email, titled "Organization is running low on Intervy credits", shows the organization, current balance and alert threshold, and has a Buy credits button that opens the organization's credit purchase page.
Each drop sends one alert, and no more alerts follow while the balance stays at or below the threshold. After a credit purchase, a subscription allowance or a manual credit top-up by Intervy lifts the balance above the threshold again, the next drop sends a new alert. Saving the settings while the balance is already at or below the new threshold sends no email, and alerts resume the same way, after the balance is lifted above the threshold. Credits set aside while an AI request runs, and returned afterwards, do not trigger an alert: only the final charge counts.
These emails are separate from the Low credit balance notice that Billing shows on paid plans. That notice uses its own level and does not depend on these settings.
Plans and subscriptions
Hiring seats include Org Admin, Staffing, and custom-role members. Interviewers do not consume hiring seats, but each plan has an interviewer limit. Paid self-service subscriptions bill at least one hiring seat.
These are the plans and prices shown in Intervy. Review Checkout for the final amount and applicable tax.
| Plan | Hiring seat monthly | Hiring seat yearly | Interviewers | Open positions | Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | €0 | — | 0 | 1 | Core hiring and credit-funded AI |

Subscribe
- Open Billing. Subscribing requires
billing:manage. - In You're on the Free plan, select Choose a plan. Compare plans opens the public pricing page in a new tab.
- Pick Starter or Growth with monthly or yearly billing, then continue to Checkout.
- After payment is confirmed and the subscription is processed, Intervy updates your plan and feature access.
Change or cancel a subscription
The Subscription card shows your plan, cycle, renewal date, and hiring-seat breakdown. For Starter and Growth with an online billing account, it offers Change plan, Cancel subscription, and Payment methods & invoices.
An upgrade takes effect immediately with proration. A lower-tier selection, or a move from yearly to monthly on the same tier, is scheduled for the next renewal shown in the confirmation. Your existing plan and billing cycle stay in effect until then, and your hiring-seat quantity is retained. The confirmation appears only after the change has been saved. Changing the selection again replaces the pending target.
Cancel subscription asks for a reason and optional comment, removes a pending plan change, and schedules cancellation at the end of the current cycle. Access continues until that cancellation takes effect. A subscription already scheduled to cancel cannot also schedule a lower-tier or yearly-to-monthly change: keep the cancellation, or contact support before changing plans. If an upgrade fails after removing a pending plan change, its error tells you to retry or schedule your preferred plan again.
Scale shows Custom pricing and Manage subscription, or Contact sales when there is no online billing account. Paid organizations below Scale also have a Need more? card with Contact sales for Scale. The Interviewers card shows usage against a finite interviewer limit and an upgrade option at the cap. Free organizations instead have an Open positions card for their position limit.
Deleting an organization cancels its paid subscriptions immediately, without an automatic refund for the remaining cycle. Deleting an account does the same for organizations that account owns.
Seat changes and limits
Accepted hiring-seat invitations and changes to hiring roles update your seat quantity. Removing a hiring member or assigning the Interviewer role reduces it, subject to the one-seat billing minimum. Proration adjusts the remaining cycle's cost. A pending plan change keeps the updated seat quantity for renewal too; a daily reconciliation also checks seat counts.
New interviewer invitations are blocked at your plan's cap. Upgrade or free a slot before inviting another interviewer. The guard does not remove existing interviewers who are already above a limit.
If a payment becomes past due, Billing shows a payment-failed notice. Open Payment methods & invoices to update payment details. When the provider ends the subscription or marks it unpaid, Intervy returns the organization to Free.
Tax and invoices
Checkout calculates applicable tax using billing details and supports entering a tax ID. Review its final total before paying. Credit-pack Checkout requests an invoice. Use Payment methods & invoices (or Manage subscription on Scale) to open the billing portal for payment details and invoices.
BYOK mode (Bring Your Own Key)
Growth and Scale support choosing Ivy AI provider in Settings → AI with permission to manage organization settings. Each user supplies their own key for the chosen provider. Eligible requests using that provider do not consume Intervy credits; usage is billed by that provider to the supplied key. A saved provider choice alone does not bypass current plan eligibility.

Troubleshooting
Ivy shows “You've run out of credits.” — Buy a credit pack from Billing, or use your own provider key if your plan is eligible. Ask a billing administrator if you cannot make purchases.
An interviewer invitation is blocked — Check the plan's interviewer limit. Upgrade or free an interviewer slot before trying again.
